Saturday 15 February 3 miles
Carol, Hilary, Tracey, Jane and Donna
The forecast was for bad weather, with a lot of rain so it was decided to keep the walk short and add a lunchtime stop. An excellent idea!
We parked at Brereton Heath Local Nature Reserve, then turned right out of the car park along Davenport Park Lane. We crossed the A54, then followed the paths over the River Dane to the Swettenham Arms. The paths were covered in water in places and we did get a little bit wet.
Lunch was really nice. Three of us had the prosciutto cranberry and brie croissant, then there was a Mediterranean mezze and an egg mayonnaise sandwich.
We we returned the way we had come. The walk back to the car wasn't too wet either.
